Over the course of one week, sophomores worked in teams of five as part of the Design Principles curriculum to construct an exhibit within 30 square feet of space depicting either a social or ecological issue that they identified with. The teams took on the challenge by dividing the design process into stages of research, model making, and construction of the final exhibit. Drawing upon various skills gleaned from Wood II, Metals II, as well as Design Principles, students relied on these skill sets in the construction and design of their exhibits, creating structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing, and informative exhibitions. All in all, it was a great experience in time management, working in teams, as well as exhibition design.
Below are some photographs of the exhibits taken by Jonah Willcox-Healey.
