This is the mission proposed by the team behind RISD Entrepreneur Mindshare, a one day event hosted by RISD Career Services Saturday, November 12 in Met Rooms A, B, and C from 9:00am – 7:00pm. Although the event lasts all day, students are encouraged to come in and out at their leisure and catch a few of the great talks that will be happening all day Saturday. Talks will be given pecha kucha style, meaning short and sweet, over a wide range of topics from a variety of inspirational speakers. Even if you just go for 15-30 minutes, it will be well worth your time to glean some inspiration and insight from the lineup at Mindshare.
This is your chance to accelerate your entrepreneurial interests, be inspired, make valuable connections, and learn about important business resources. In one day, you’ll hear 22 stories of entrepreneurship from RISD alumni, business mentors, and thought leaders. Learn about business resources, funding opportunities, marketing strategies and entrepreneurial thinking. Discover the mash-up of spirit, guts, risk-taking and business savvy that’s in your entrepreneurial DNA.
Oh, and did I say LOTS OF MONEY AND FREE FOOD?
